6 Day Safari Tour
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK, LAKE MANYARA, LAKE EYASI, NGORONGORO CRATER & SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Itinerary
Day of arrival.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by an Omura representative who will transfer you to your hotel. There, you will be given time to settle in before a meet and greet with your guides. In this meeting, we will brief you on what to expect on Mount Kilimanjaro and answer any last-minute questions you may have. After the briefing, we recommend an early night for an early pick-up the following day.
Day 1.
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your safari guide will arrive at the hotel and drive the 2.5 hours to Tarangire National Park. The Tarangire National Park receives its name from the major water source for the wildlife that resides within the park, the Tarangire River. During today's drive, you will have the chance to see giraffes, elephants, lions, antelopes, leopards, zebras, warthogs, buffaloes, and an extensive collection of exotic birds. Baobab trees, known as the tree of life, can be seen throughout the park and especially along the Tarangire River.
As evening sets you will be driven to your accommodation location where you will be served dinner and can settle in for the night.
Day 2.
Lake Manyara
After breakfast, your safari guide will arrive at your accommodation and drive towards Lake Manyara Nation Park. Lake Manyara is located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley and its landscape is made up of a large shallow soda lake (alkaline lake) that attracts large flocks of flamingos.
During today's drive, you will have the chance to see Manyara's famous tree-climbing lions, elephants, and flamingos.
Day 3.
Ngorongoro National Park
After breakfast, you will have a half-day game drive around Ngorongoro Crater. During today's drive, you will experience a picturesque caldera with the most abundant wildlife. As your driver descends down into the Ngorongoro Crater you will enjoy amazing views and get up close with the crater’s residents. Today you will have the chance to see zebra's, buffalo, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, wildebeests, lions, elephants plus many more.
You return to your accommodation for lunch and then you leave Ngorongoro National Park and drive to Serengeti National Park with a stopover at Olduvai Gorge. Leaving the highland behind we descend into the heart of the Serengeti National Park to your accommodation where you will be served dinner and can settle for the night.
Day 4 & Day 5.
Serengeti National Park
Today you will get to experience the natural beauty of the Serengeti. You will have a chance to see zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hippopotamuses. After a lunch break your game drive will continue into the afternoon where your guide will endeavor to get you close to the Serengeti wildlife. As evening sets in you will be returned to your accommodation where you will be served dinner and can settle in for the night.
Day 6.
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will begin your drive back to Arusha visiting local markets and villages around Karatu and Mtowambu. As evening sets you will be driven to your accommodation location where you will be served dinner and can settle in for the night.
Final Day.
At your required time an Omura vehicle will transfer you to your next destination. If you have additional time we recommend you extend your stay. Omura offers safari packages to see nature at its finest or maybe a relaxing beach trip to Zanzibar.
